The Fairy Prom Mother Prom Sponsorship Essay Contest

We are excited to announce our first outreach initiative of 2025! 

As creator and founder of Pass It On!!! Private Facebook Group we are dedicated to help spread awareness for black owned businesses, events, and community outreach. Our goal is to foster support and engagement for those dedicated to making a difference in our community through it's economic contribution, fellowship and giving back to our community through outreach initiatives. 

In efforts to uphold our mission Write Way Solutions and Pass It On!!! will be sponsoring one lucky winner of our Fairy Prom Mother Prom Sponsorship Essay Contest. The winner of the contest will be able to have their hair done by one of our local hair stylists, Nails by a local nail tech and accessories provided by one of our local business owners. 

Contest Rules: 

1. Participants must be 16 years of age or older. 
2. Participants must be currently enrolled in school in Norfolk, Chesapeake, or Virginia Beach. 
3. The GPA requirement is 3.0 or above at the time of entry. No exceptions.
4. Your prom date must be after May 1st. 
5. Essay Entries must be in on May 1st, 2025 by 8 PM EST. 
6. Value of award items are to be determined by the contest host and will be disclosed at a later date. 
7. Contest submissions are to be sent to careerme@writewaysolutions.org. along with a selfie, photo or headshot. 
8. Winners will be announced on May 3rd, 2025 at 2PM EST. 

(Contest rules are subject to change without notice. However, the entry requirements regarding age, location or GPA will not be changed.) 

Essay Guidelines: 

         Topic: Should social media be allowed in schools (such as TikTok and Instagram) If no, please explain why not. If you believe it should be, please explain how it can be leveraged to teach their students?       

• Essay must be 250 words or more to be considered
